 3.Go over the word list and introduce the derivatives of some new words. (20 minutes)

4. Ask the students to go over the text quickly (Pay attention to the introductory paragraph) and grasp the main idea. (20 minutes)

 1. Do Question and Answer exercises related to the text in pairs.

 (10 minutes)

    Student A asks the first 6 questions and Student B answers them; Then change roles.  

  2. Do vocabulary exercises.(20 minutes)

    Besides asking students to fill in the gaps with appropriate word(s), the teacher requests they explain the meaning of the sentences.

  3. Students have a group discussion on the topic. (20 minutes)

  Is city life better than suburban life?

  4. Do cloze and sentence translation exercises. (20 minutes)

 5. Appreciate the writing techniques employed by the writer (topic sentence followed by detail sentences)   (10 minutes)
